WATDEV at WWF Bali, Indonesia - May 2024: Enhancing Water Efficiency in the Nile Valley

The 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali gathered global experts and stakeholders in Water Management. A highlight of the Forum was a side event hosted by AICS Cairo titled: "Promoting Water Efficiency and Integrated Management in the Nile Valley for Better Living Conditions." This event aimed to spotlight innovative approaches and ongoing initiatives in water management within the Nile Valley.

AICS Cairo and CIHEAM Bari showcased their collaborative efforts to enhance water efficiency and resource management in this crucial region. Central to this event was WATDEV, a project dedicated to advancing sustainable water and land resource management. WATDEV's presentation focused on integrated management practices that are simulated and tested to improve living conditions in the Nile Valley.

The event emphasized the importance of building capacity among stakeholders through research-driven initiatives, fostering a deeper understanding and implementation of sustainable practices. Attendees gained valuable insights into the challenges and solutions related to water management in the Nile Valley, reflecting the broader themes of the World Water Forum.
